  • chill stage > heat stage > sweat stage.
  • Generally chill stage appears in forenoon, which is followed by heat stage at noon to evening and perspiration at night.

  • Chill stage :
  • time - in forenoon.
  • Thirst : thirsty before and after the chill stage. 
  • Aggravation : by drinking water, by dry heat like stove. Still the pt wants to be near the stove.
  • Associated with : palpitation, anxiety, hunger, headache in temples. 

  • Heat stage :
  • Time : long lasting, sets after chill, generally in noon to evening time. 
  • Thirst : drinks little but frequently (ars.).
  • Associated with : fiery red and hot face (bella.), headache in temples, delirium if heat is too severe. 

  • Sweat stage :
  • Time : sets immediately after heat stage, mostly at night. 
  • Thirst : great thirst during sweat stage. 
  • Character : profuse and debilitating.
