• Synonym : poison of honeybee
• Family : apium virus(apidae) 
• Prover : dr. Frederick in 1852. Also proved by brauns and E. E. Marey.
• Miasm : psora
• Temperament : Nervous, irritable
• Diathesis : scrofulous 
• Thermal : hot
• Side affinity : right 

Guiding symptoms + keynotes 

1. A/F : Jealousy, fright, rage, vexation, bad news, suppressed measles or urticaria. 
2. Oedema : general or local. Bag like puffy swelling under the eye. (over the eye - k.carb., around the eye - phos.) 
3. Pain : burning, stinging, sore, sudden migrating pain (k.bich.,puls.).
4. Diarrhoea : involuntary with sensation as if anus is wide open. 
5. Inflammation and tenderness prevalent (right ovary, testicle). 
6. Aversion to tight bandage (lach.).
7. Thirstless except chill stage (aeth., puls., ipec., gels., ars. in chronic - Thirstless). 

Mind

• A/F : jealousy, fright, rage, vexation, bad news. 
• Can not concentrate mind when attempting to read or study. 
• Drops things while handling them (nat. Mur.). 
• Weeping disposition (puls.). 
• Sudden shrill piercing screams from child while waking or sleeping (hell.). 
• Mental symptoms aggravates in warm closed room. 

Female

• Oophoritis : with burning, stinging pain especially of right ovary. 
• Ovarian tumor. 
• Great tenderness in abdominal and uterine region. 
• Menses : suppression of menses leads to profuse metrorrhagia with heavy abdomen. 
• Bearing down sensation. 
• Dysmenorrhea with severe pain on ovarian region.

Urinary system 

• Incontinence of urine : as soon as a few drops collected in the bladder, urge comes, which is ineffectual. Much strain before the micturition. 
• Character : scanty, only of few drops, bloody, albuminous, with casts. Also may be dark and frothy.

Skin

• Skin is waxy, pale, oedematous, tender to touch. 
• Urticaria : large elevated wheals all over the body with burning and stinging pain.
• Boils and carbuncle : rosy hue, oedematous sensitive to touch. 
• aggravation by heat, covering.
• Amelioration By cold application.
• Skin is alternately dry and perspiring.

Modalities 

• Aggravation : after sleep, close warm room, 3pm, touch. 
• Amelioration : open air, cold water, cold application.
