Facts about the remedy

  • In one sentence we can say that, it is a drug which can be prescribed when there is a pain related to nerve, especially of the sensory one. 
  • The pain can be due to neuralgia, injury to the nerve cells, sciatic pain.

Injury

  • Injury to parts rich in sentient nerve - fingers, toes, nails, palms or soles - where the intolerable pain shows nerves are severely involved. 
  • Mechanical injuries of spinal cord, bad effects of spinal concussion. 
  • Pain after a fall on coccyx. 
  • Injury to the nail, or caused by any sharp object. Or rat bites. 
  • It prevents lockjaw.


Pain

  • Lancinating pain with numbness is well marked feature of hypericum. 
  • As it is the pain of nerves, it extends from back to toe. 
  • Traumatic neuralgia or neuritis with tingling sensation. 
  • Associated with sensation as if being lifted up high into the air. 

Modalities 

  • Aggravation : cold, damp weather, fog, touch, least exposure. 
  • Amelioration : bending head backward 

Relation

  • It antidotes ars., cham.
