Facts about the remedy
- In one sentence we can say that, it is a drug which can be prescribed when there is a pain related to nerve, especially of the sensory one.
- The pain can be due to neuralgia, injury to the nerve cells, sciatic pain.
Injury
- Injury to parts rich in sentient nerve - fingers, toes, nails, palms or soles - where the intolerable pain shows nerves are severely involved.
- Mechanical injuries of spinal cord, bad effects of spinal concussion.
- Pain after a fall on coccyx.
- Injury to the nail, or caused by any sharp object. Or rat bites.
- It prevents lockjaw.
Pain
- Lancinating pain with numbness is well marked feature of hypericum.
- As it is the pain of nerves, it extends from back to toe.
- Traumatic neuralgia or neuritis with tingling sensation.
- Associated with sensation as if being lifted up high into the air.
Modalities
- Aggravation : cold, damp weather, fog, touch, least exposure.
- Amelioration : bending head backward
