Constitution 

  • It is majorly a female remedy, which is suited to indecisive, slow, sandy hair, blue eyes, pale face, easily moved to laughter to tears.

Guiding symptoms + keynotes 

  1. A/F : getting feet wet, eating fatty food, ice cream, abuse of mercury, quinine, sulphur etc., abortion. 
  2. Prevalent changeability : no two chills, no two stools, no two attacks alike, mental conditions are also changeable. 
  3. Weeps easily : almost impossible to detail her ailment without weeping.
  4. Shifting pain : rapid shifting of pain from one part to the another, which are accompanied with constant chilliness.
  5. Thirstlessness with nearly all complains (aeth., ipeca., gels., ars. In chronic, apis except chill stage).
  6. Discharges : all the mucous membrane discharges are thick, bland (except leucorrhoea) and yellowish green.
  7. "Never been well since" - refers the complains started with puberty or menarche.
  8. Stye : especially on upper eyelid.
  9. Toothache : > holding cold water in mouth, < warm things.
  10. Dreadful aversion to opposite sex (sep.).


Mind 

  • A/F : same as Guiding symptoms. 
  • Weeps easily : almost impossible to detail her ailment without weeping.
  • Feels better by consolation. 
  • Dreadful aversion to opposite sex. 
  • Changeability is prevalent in mood too.
  • Fear in evening, wants to be alone. 

Eyes

  • Styes : especially on upper eyelid. 
  • Itching with inflammation. 

Respiratory system 

  • A/F : same as Guiding symptoms. 
  • Coryza - stoppage of right nostril especially at evening. 
  • Pressing pain at root of nose. 
  • Dry cough in evening while in morning cough with copious expectoration of thick bland yellow greenish discharge. 
  • Urine emitted with cough.
  • Discharge : same as 6th point in Guiding symptoms. 

G. I. T. 

  • A/F : same as Guiding symptoms. 
  • Well marked thirstlessness.
  • Distension of stomach with eructations.
  • Dyspepsia with great tightness after a meal, must loosen clothes. 
  • All-gone sensation especially in tea drinkers. 
  • Sensation of a stone / weight in stomach. 
  • Diarrhoea : only or usually at night, watery, greenish yellow, very changeable.
  • Loose stool passes as soon a she eats fatty food or ice-cream.
  • Character : greenish-yellow, very changeable.



Female 

  • A/F : same as Guiding symptoms. 
  • Characteristic dysmenorrhoea 
  • Flow is - Short, Scanty, Thick, Changeable, Delayed (SSTCD).
  • Leucorrhoea : milky white, all the discharges are bland while leucorrhoea is acrid.
  • Flows more during the day.
  • Mention IMP Guiding symptoms if female is asked.

Pain

  • A/F : same as Guiding symptoms. 
  • Character : changeable. 
  • Pain changes its location frequently. 
  • Pain comes suddenly and goes gradually.
  • < warm application, lying on painless side.
  • > lying on painful side

Modalities 

  • Aggravation : warm close room, warm application, lying on painless side, indigestible rich food. 
  • Amelioration : cold room, cold air, open air, lying on painful side.

Relations

  • Complementary : sil., lyc., kali mur.
  • Silicea is the chronic of pulsatilla in nearly all ailments. 

Extras

  • Silicea is the most complementary of puls, As pulsatilla flower grows well on sand.
